The suspect, 42, Dekraai Scott Evans of Huntington Beach, was arrested without incident, as he was leaving the scene in a vehicle, said a statement from the police.

"It seems that the show was busy at the time, and it seems that almost every station occupied by hair," he added.

Among those killed appeared to seek cover or protection during the filming, said Bowles. The victims were scattered through the living room, and one of the injured was a man who was found outside the room - the victim is out there - Bowles said.

The authorities do not know whether this man was shot inside or outside the lounge, he said. This man is in critical condition, police said.

The suspect of the police was arrested half a mile from the show, as he drove a vehicle, said Bowles.

"We do not have the make and model of weapon" used in the shooting, he said."He's a gun at the scene of the arrest of the suspect was again.

"He advised weapons in the vehicle, but we have no information at this stage," said Bowles.

The police do not know if the shooter made no statements during the filming of mass.

"We want to take this opportunity not know whether the shots were fired just inside - and outside as well," said Bowles.

Gunshot wounds were "all different parts of the body," he said.

The living room features a reception and waiting area.

Seal Beach is a "small" and "very intimate" seaside town, where "we have many years with zero murders, this is obviously an unusual and tragic," said Bowles.
